{"id":1552,"date":"2018-03-07T13:52:59","date_gmt":"2018-03-07T13:52:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/carmarthenshiremeadows.com\/?p=1552"},"modified":"2018-03-07T13:52:59","modified_gmt":"2018-03-07T13:52:59","slug":"a-summer-event-6-june-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/185.53.59.222\/~carmsmeadows\/2018\/03\/07\/a-summer-event-6-june-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"A summer event &#8211; 6 June 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>An event for your summer diary:\u00a0 Wednesday 6 June 6.30pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Restoring marshy grassland \u2013 CCC\/PONT \u2013 a site visit for CMG member<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This visit is to a site in Cross Hands, which is managed by Carmarthenshire County Council with support from PONT.\u00a0 The site is being managed by Amanda Evans (CCC Conservation Project Officer) with help from Emma Douglas (PONT) by stock grazing and habitat management (coppicing\/fencing) and has received funding from the Glastir Small Grant programme.<\/p>\n<p>It is an opportunity to discuss the benefits of grazing animals when managing marshy grassland and the issues to think about when tackling encroaching scrub.<\/p>\n<p>Please book for this session which will be about 1.5-2 hours.
