Would you like to learn more about bumblebees and how to identify different species?<\/strong> Would you like to help us discover more about how bumblebee populations are doing in Carmarthenshire?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skills for Bees Cymru (Skills for bees – Bumblebee Conservation Trust<\/a>) is a 3 year project which aims to train people in bumblebee identification and monitoring, through ad hoc biological recording and also through our citizen science scheme, Beewalk (Surveys – Bumblebee Conservation Trust<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m excited to be heading to Carmarthenshire<\/strong> this year to increase Bumblebee monitoring across the County. Free training is available to anyone with an interest \u2013 no previous knowledge required! It will consist of two online<\/strong> beginner sessions, followed by several opportunities to join me in the field to practice identifying and recording bumblebees, including practical demos on how to set up a Beewalk. If you sign up we recommend you come along to as many sessions as possible but there is no obligation to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
